报告人简介
:
Xiaoli Tan received B.Sc degree of Applied Chemistry from Inner Mongolia University (Hohhot) in 2000 and Ph.D degree of Physical Chemistry with specialization in Colloid Chemistry from the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry (Beijing), Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2005. Following his graduation, he was funded by Alberta Ingenuity as a postdoctoral fellow at University of Alberta to study the chemical structures and aggregation behavior of petroleum asphaltenes. Since 2009, he has been working for Institute for Oil Sands Innovation (IOSI) at University of Alberta as a research associate. He is leading a variety of research teams in IOSI working on oil sands non-aqueous extraction, bitumen upgrading, and oil sands tailings management. He has 31 publications in scientific peer-reviewed journals.
